Install Garage Opener Button (HomeLink) in e-Golf

Our 2017 e-Golf doesn’t come with HomeLink like most of the newer cars, I decided to put in a switch for activate the garage every time we leave the house and come home. We ordered a button with light indicator momentary switch, nice and small enough to fit one of the empty switch on the shifter area. Opened the remote, access to the PCB, find the button switch, 12V power and solder 2 pairs of wires, we will use the 12V from the car with ignition on to power the actual Genie remote and the LED light on the button. We use 2AMP fuse and 50 ohm 5W resistor in series to limit the current to the LED and the remote. We found a connection in the fuse box to power the system.
