On my birthday, our family took a day off to Reno for skiing again this year. It was sunny and beautiful, Mt. Rose was nice although it was a little slushy while the snow is melting under the sun and 45+ degrees heat. We got an 804 suite which was just a delux room with a spa in it. It was horrible for us, the room was noisy because it’s next to the elevator, so bright at night with these outside blue lighting, my wife couldn’t sleep well. Anyhow, we were too lazy to change the room. Other than that, everything was great because we’re here for skiing.
Brandon surprised us with his ability to ski down hill by himself which made us realize that we’re over protected and never gave our little Brandon a chance to show us how well he’s learned while watching us ski. We always made him wear harness so we can restrain him from going too fast, this actually caused him to fall down a few times. Until… he told us he wanted to go down by “myself”, we were reluctant, but we let him be and he did it, he went down the hills with us with no problems what so ever, he could even avoid all these obstacles (snowboarders) in front of him, he could stop, slow down, all by “myself”. We’re ecstatic watching him skiing, and he loves skiing now, he didn’t want to stop going up and down. Now the whole family can ski together without harness restraint for Brandon at all.
