So, now the laptop or pc has dual boot menu built in to the windows boot manager. There are 2 ways to install Mac OS X on to these Windows system, install straight into the partition or install onto a USB drive, then restore to the prepared partition, whichever way you use, you will have to fix the Windows boot manager most of the time. In order to install Mac OS X to these Windows based systems, we need to use Windows to shrink 1 or 2 small partitions for dual or triple boot system. NOT POSSIBLE to install 2 Mac OS X’s on Windows 7 system (I tried it and it deleted my first Lion partition).
**** Look at the video, all the OS’s can only be installed on Primary partitions and NOT logical partition. I installed Lion on the logical partition created and it wiped out my primary Mountain Lion and I have “chain booting error” ****
INSTALL MAC OS X
It doesn’t matter which tool you use to install Mac OS X, Unibeast or myHack, they all have to install Chameleon boot loader onto the partition, the difference is just the version of the Chameleon.
1. The best way for installing Mac OS X is to install to a USB drive then restore it to the internal partition, with myHack installer, all you need is to re-store EasyBCD (same process as setting up) to the MBR and C. You may have a cursor after restoring or installing Mac OS X to the partition. Boot from myHack Installer, get to the verbos screen (click tab while booting) and select Windows partition to boot then use EasyBCD to restore the MBR.
Now the back up BCD is useful, EasyBCD will look for all the back up and restore it for you. What happened if we forgot to back up, just set up a new menu, install BCD to the boot sector, create the same boot menu to C, save it and reboot, it will boot to Windows Boot Manager.
