11/29/2021 So after 6 years, the original JBweld piece got loose and leaked water through the bottom to the garage ceiling. This time I bought a stainless steel metal plate and cut the ring and the hole to glue it to the tub using JBweld adhesive.
We’re going to replace the old shower door, and the drain opening has some rusts around it, we started to remove and found out the rust has rusted through a big hole. Instead of breaking down the walls and pull out the tub to replace, we decided to fix it and it did come out good. JBweld Steel Stik was needed.
- bad news on rust
- Try to fix it
- wonderful material
- Mix the putty well
- patch carefully
- Make sure it sticks to under the hole
- Install old drain to make grooves
- Use tool to tighten the drain socket tight
- wait for it to cure
- Patch Carefully
- ready for the new drain
- Sanded and painted
- Finished
- Not too bad looking
- Sealed and solid
